Alien Life
by Liz Bennefeld
MP3 - 1.02MB
The past few years, I have been spending NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) trying to write a publishable poem each day during November. I wrote "Alien Life" in November 2009, and it was included on SFPA's 2010 Halloween Poetry Page

Hunter's Moon
by Liz Bennefeld
MP3 - 706KB
I wrote "Hunter's Moon" for the Science Fiction Poetry Association's 2008 On-line Halloween Poetry Reading. It's loosely based on a poem I wrote in the late 1960s or early 1970s, but re-visioned for the occasion.
Vision Stalker
by Liz Bennefeld
Currently available on SFPA's 2011 Online Halloween Poetry Reading Page
"Vision Stalker" was written in 1996 as a sort of "signature" poem at a turning point in my life. Vision Stalker was my wolf name when I belonged to The Wild Wolf Women of the Web. I'm not certain I found any social group where I fit in, as a result of following my own nose for a change, but it was a relief not to be concerned about not fitting in anywhere at all, outside of my own skin and my own home.
Waiting
by Liz Bennefeld
MP3 - 505KB
"Waiting" is one of the earlier poems I wrote as an adult. I can remember the wooden apartment building I lived in when I wrote it. An interesting part of town! I had lots of fun recording it for the 2006 Science Fiction Poetry Association's 2006 On-line Halloween Poetry Reading.
